Support & FAQs

From subscription updates to route troubleshooting, first identify where the issue occurs, then follow the relevant steps. For account, order or refund questions, sign in to the user dashboard and submit a support ticket.

ACCOUNT / SUBSCRIPTION

Accounts & Subscriptions

Check your account details and subscription status first, then manage devices and update configurations. Keep your subscription link as secure as your password.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Keep your credentials secure and avoid reusing the same password across websites. After creating your account, sign in to the user dashboard to check your account details and find the relevant plan or client download. Since your account is not identified by an email address, don’t rely on your inbox as the only way to recover your information. If you can’t access your account, check the support options on the contact page and provide account or order details that can help verify your identity. Never send your password.

Where can I find my subscription link, and how do I update it?

Sign in to the user dashboard and find your subscription link in the account overview. Then follow your client’s instructions to import it. When the route list changes, use the subscription or configuration manager in your client to update it, then select a route again once the update is complete. If the update fails, first make sure you can access the dashboard from your local network, then check your subscription status. If it still won’t update, copy the link from the dashboard again and confirm you’re importing it in the right place. Your subscription link grants access to your account. Don’t post it in public forums or include it in support ticket screenshots.

Do I need to choose a new plan when I change computers or add a device?

There’s no limit on the number of devices that can be online at the same time, so you don’t need to choose a new plan just because you’ve changed computers or added your own device. Sign in to the dashboard on the new device, download the appropriate client and import your current subscription. Check proxy settings, configuration updates and route selection on each device separately; a working connection on an old device doesn’t mean the new one is set up. Keep an eye on your remaining data when using multiple devices: unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data. The account holder should keep their password and subscription link secure.

Can I download the client and get a subscription directly on every platform?

Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux are supported. Download the Android, Windows, macOS or Linux client from the user dashboard after signing in. Sign in to get your subscription. The iOS download option depends on your plan eligibility in the dashboard; use the option shown for your account. Downloading a client and having an active subscription are separate things. After installing the client, check your account status and import your subscription. Don’t use installation files from untrusted sources or overwrite your client configuration with one from another account.

What should I do if I shared my subscription link or think it has been exposed?

Stop sharing the link and check whether the user dashboard offers a subscription reset option. If it does, follow the instructions, then update the subscription on each of your devices. If there’s no reset option or you’re not sure whether the old link still works, contact support through a ticket. Changing your login password alone does not prove that the old subscription link has been disabled. When reporting the issue, describe generally how the link was exposed and what steps you’ve taken. Don’t send the full link, your password or payment verification details again.

CONNECTION / DIAGNOSTICS

Connections & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot in this order: local network, client settings, then the app you’re trying to use. Change one setting at a time so you can identify what made a difference.

The client says it’s connected, but websites won’t load. What should I check first?

Disconnect the proxy first and check that your local network can access familiar websites. Then reconnect using a route. Check that the client has enabled the relevant system proxy or network-wide mode; selecting a route alone may not send browser traffic through the client. You can also try another browser to see whether the problem affects the whole network or is caused by a browser extension, cache or separate proxy setting. If no sites are accessible, note the client error, platform and selected route, then include those details in a support ticket.

My browser works, but why can’t a particular app use the proxy?

A working browser only confirms that the browser’s connection path is working. Other apps may use their own proxy settings, connection methods or network interfaces. Check whether the client’s routing rules include the service you’re trying to use, then see whether the app has its own proxy option. If the client offers a network-wide mode, check the required permissions for your platform, but avoid repeatedly changing system settings if you’re unsure what they do. Restart the app after making changes so it doesn’t reuse an old connection. When reporting the issue, include the app name and error message, but don’t share private conversations or account credentials.

What should I do if a subscription update fails or the route list is empty?

First make sure you can sign in to the user dashboard and that your account status and remaining data are in order. Then check that the client has selected the right subscription. When copying the link, make sure it doesn’t contain extra spaces or line breaks, and don’t mistake the dashboard URL for the subscription URL. If the client has multiple configurations, confirm you’re updating the one for your current account before trying to import it again. If the list is still empty, save the error message and note when it occurred, then report it through a support ticket. Don’t delete every configuration in a row, or you could remove settings that were working.

My connection keeps dropping. How can I tell whether it’s my local network or the route?

Keep the client settings unchanged and, if possible, switch to a different local network to see whether the same route still drops. Then keep the local network unchanged and try a different route for comparison. Change only one thing at a time to make the cause easier to identify. If only one route has problems, note its name. If different routes all fluctuate with your local network, check your Wi-Fi signal, router and other tasks using your connection. Reopen the service you’re testing after switching, so an old page cache doesn’t make it look as if nothing changed.

What information should I include in a support ticket about connection problems?

Include your platform, client name, route name, the website or app you’re trying to access, when the problem occurred and what you’ve already tried. Keep the error message in its original wording if possible. Before sharing a screenshot, hide account identifiers, subscription links and payment details. Say whether the problem is constant or intermittent, and whether switching routes or local networks made a difference. This is more useful for troubleshooting than simply saying you can’t connect. You can add updates through the ticket section of the user dashboard; there’s no need to submit duplicate tickets for the same issue.

SPEED / ROUTE SELECTION

Speed & Routes

Choose routes based on what you need to do. Check the exit region, route type and target platform’s requirements separately.

Speeds slow down during peak hours. Should I switch regions or routes first?

Keep the target region the same and try other available routes in that region. Check whether page loading, video buffering or tool connections improve. If there’s little difference, try another exit location that meets the service’s regional requirements. Pause local tasks such as large downloads and cloud sync to rule out competition for bandwidth. Peak-hour performance depends on your local connection, network congestion and the load on the service you’re accessing, so a route’s name alone won’t tell you how it will perform. Note what works for you and keep the option that’s most reliable on your network.

How do I choose between IEPL, transit and direct routes?

These terms describe different ways network traffic is routed; they aren’t a speed ranking that applies to every network. First identify the exit region required by the service you want to use, then check the route type in the dashboard and test it with your usual tasks. For tools that need long-lived connections, see whether sessions drop. For video, check whether playback keeps buffering. Don’t skip testing just because a route is labelled dedicated, or conclude that a route type is unusable after one failed attempt. See the dashboard for currently available routes.

How many countries and routes are covered, and where can I see the full list?

VpnInn covers 90+ countries and offers 170+ routes. The marketing pages explain coverage and route selection; check the user dashboard and the client’s updated subscription for the current list of available routes. The same country or region doesn’t guarantee identical network paths, exit performance or recognition by a particular service. When troubleshooting, note the full route name, not just the region. If the website and client show different information, update your subscription and check your account status, then report the difference through a support ticket. Don’t use an old screenshot to determine whether a route is still available.

Why can’t I use a streaming library or AI tool even though I’m connected?

A working network connection doesn’t guarantee that a platform will grant access. Streaming libraries and AI tools may also depend on your platform account region, subscription eligibility, how the exit connection is identified and the platform’s own rules. Check the platform’s error message, then confirm that the app is actually using the proxy and that your current exit meets its requirements. After switching routes, reopen the app or start a new session to test again. Coverage in a country doesn’t mean every platform there will work. For questions about account eligibility, check the platform’s own guidance.

Why do download speeds, page loads and video buffering feel different?

Different tasks use the network in different ways. Loading a webpage involves multiple connections and requests, file downloads depend more on sustained transfers, and video performance is also affected by platform caches and content delivery routes. A fast download doesn’t mean every app will feel just as responsive. To compare routes, use the same device, local network and task, and avoid changing several conditions at once. Focus on what matters for your use—for example, whether conversations drop or webpages keep retrying—rather than deciding based on one test result.

BILLING / REFUNDS

Billing & Refunds

Monthly plans and data packages have different data rules. For anything involving an order, check your dashboard records before deciding what to do.

How much does a monthly plan cost, and when does data reset?

Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. Estimate your usage based on everyday browsing, video and work, then check your data records in the dashboard. Data resets and plan status are separate: if you can’t connect, check both your remaining data and whether your subscription is still active. See the pricing page for full details, and review the plan and order shown in the dashboard before completing your purchase to make sure you’ve selected the right billing option.

How are data packages billed, and are they suitable for occasional use?

Data packages are ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB and ¥658 for 3000GB. Data stays valid until used and never expires. If your usage is irregular, compare your estimated needs with the monthly plan’s reset schedule instead of looking only at the one-time price. A data package isn’t unlimited, so keep track of your remaining allowance. If you already have another plan, check the dashboard for applicable terms before changing your billing setup. If you’re unsure how plans can be combined or switched, ask through a support ticket before taking action.

Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my plan status doesn’t update after payment?

Alipay, WeChat Pay and USDT are supported. Start the payment process from an order in the user dashboard, and check the order amount and selected plan. If your status hasn’t updated after payment, return to the dashboard and check the original order before trying anything again. If you need help, submit a ticket with your order number, payment method, payment time and a screenshot of the result. Hide any personal information that isn’t needed to verify the payment. Use the order status shown in the dashboard; a closed payment page or a browser returning to the previous page doesn’t necessarily mean your plan is active.

What is the refund policy, and how do I request a refund?

VpnInn offers a 30-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user dashboard, open a support ticket, explain that you’d like a refund and include the relevant order number. Check the Terms of Service for eligibility and details. If your request also involves connection issues, you can include the troubleshooting steps you’ve tried, but there’s no need to share your password or full subscription link. Keep your order records and follow up in the same ticket. Processing time depends on the review and payment provider; we don’t promise a fixed timeframe on this page.

What happens to the price difference if I upgrade a monthly plan partway through?

When you upgrade a monthly plan partway through, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Before proceeding, check your current plan, the plan you want to switch to and the amount shown on the checkout page in the user dashboard. Don’t assume the final amount is simply the difference between the listed plan prices. After upgrading, check your account status, remaining time and data against the dashboard’s information. If the checkout details don’t match what you expected, stop and submit a support ticket with your current and intended plan details. Don’t estimate balances, bonus data or other benefits that the dashboard hasn’t confirmed.
